Precision Furnace Tune-Up

  • Inspect & tighten all electrical connections & terminals

  • Remove, clean & adjust main gas burners, ignition & pilot assembly

  • Thoroughly brush & vacuum clean the heat exchanger(s) & combustion chambers

  • Vacuum out blower compartment; return airdrop & surround area (no blower wheel cleaning)

  • Clean exterior of furnace

  • Test for CO during unit operation

  • Lubricate all fan motors and all moving parts as needed

  • Test, record & adjust gas pressure

  • Replace or clean standard air filters

  • Inspect the flue assembly & test flue gas drafting mechanism

  • Inspect heat-exchanger(s) & combustion chambers for cracks, rusting, or problem areas

  • Test & inspect all furnace safety controls

  • Clean, level, test & calibrate thermostat

  • Measure & record heating system output

  • Inspect & test thermocouple output as well as pilot safety switch

  • Measure & record electrical voltage, amperage & component resistance

  • Inspect & test all system transformers, relays, contactors & control - measure performance

  • Visually inspect duct work at the furnace for leaks

  • Advise customer on other ways to reduce energy consumption, improve safety & enhance comfort
